Vision

To have women and girls with disabilities enjoying all benefits of society at all levels, living independently and having dignity from among themselves and the society.

Mission.

Facilitating unity, self esteem, advancement of WWDs through advocacy, access to resources, education, skills development and functional adult literacy
NUWODU is an indigenous Umbrella organisation of all Women with disabilities of Uganda, which was started in November 1999
Currently it covers 25 districts of which there are different Women Associations. NUWODU respects all disabilities ie DeafBlind, Blind, Mentally impaired, Deaf, Epilepsy, Physical, Stutters etc.
The 1st Women's Forum, conducted in 1991, was a result of a vigorous critism of NUDIPU's missing profile with regards to women with disabilities and their special problems. It led to the Birth of NUWODU
