Uganda has approximately 1,200,000 people with physical disabilities, this is approximately 6% of the total population. People with disabilities (PWD) face challenges of negative attitudes from society leading to isolation, lack of recognition, poor access to services, lack of employment and suffer discrimination by their families, society, service providers and in social circles.
