Introduction:


Nepal Disable Women Association (NDWA) Is registered NGO established in 1997, aiming to empower and uplift the economic and social status of disabled women in Nepal. This association devots to ensure the right of the all types of person with disabilities. According to the data collected by these organizations and the survey report of the WHO, there are about 10% disable of the totaL population in Nepal. Among them is 6% disabled women in total population.

VISION

NDWA envisages empowered disabled women who is educated, socially secured,
economically productive,politically bewared and happily living with her
family in a barrier free environment.

MISSION

In order to get involved equally to every type of disable women in the all development activities,
organise advocacy, bride with different sectore and elevate relation with efficiant personalities.
With the help of the activities like social mobilization or
efficiency development we ensure the meaningful envolvement,
to strengthen the organisation, membership distribution sustainable income resources
utilization of human resources and goods will be accomplished.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF NDWA


- To raise awareness in siciety and facilatate women with disabilities

to seek oppertunities on the basis of equity
-To help uplift disabled women groups through creating envirnment for the
job oppertunities to the women with disabilities

-To work for the permotion of interest and right of women and girls with disabilities
-To lunch activities for the sustained and independency of the organisation.

THE MAIN ACTIVITIES OF NDWA


-Leadership development treaning.
- institutional management traning.
-skill and income orinted traning.
-capacity building traning.
-set the branch offices in all districs to extend the organigation
- collect statistic of the disabled womenand keep its record
- organize seminar, traning and interaction programes to co- ordinate
activities between central and district level and participate in them.

- To conducted 1st national disabled women conference in kathmandu 2000.
- To conducted gender discrimination wokkshop
- TO conducted income generating workshop.
